The process of obtaining a Construction Permit generally involves two phases, first obtaining "Prior Approvals" from the Township Zoning, Engineering and Health Departments and then submitting the complete application and plans to the Construction Department.  A Prior Approval Cover Sheet can be found here.

Depending upon the nature of the project, Affordable Housing Development Fees, Tree Removal Permits, Historic Preservation Review and Road Opening Permits may also be required.

Commonly Requested Forms

Smoke Detector / CO Alarm Certification for Construction Permits: A certification for one and two family dwelling smoke detector and carbon monoxide alarm compliance is required in order to obtain a permit for residential construction in Harding Township.  The form for this certification can be found here

A separate certification including smoke detectors, CO alarms, and fire extinguishers is required upon sale of a residence.  This form can be found here.
