Fingerprinting services are available Monday through Friday 8:30 until 4:30 pm. No appointment is necessary however, residents are encourage to call (973) 455-0500 to reserve a time that an officer will be available to assist you. - What is required to obtain a handicapped parking permit?
Handicapped parking permits (placards) are available for those who are either temporarily or permanently handicapped. State statute says that the police department is the only issuing agency for temporary placards. The permit is good for six months and may be renewed one time for an additional period of six months. You must obtain the permit in person from the police department and meet all of the requirements. - How do I make an appointment to have a child safety seat checked?
Just call (973) 455-0500 and leave your name and phone number. A Certified Child Safety Seat Technician will return your call. - Does the department offer free gun locks?
