The legal name of the municipality is Harding Township.  It is also known as New Vernon,  the name of its principal post office.  Residents, however, can receive mail via this post office or that of Green Village, Basking Ridge, or Morristown.  This often makes next-door neighbors appear to be residents of different towns.
