Monitor of the Month (MoM) duty starts the day after the Monthly meeting and extends through the next monthly meeting. To ensure continuity and accountability, the MoM has responsibility for the official response to any application that is referred to the HPC during the “duty month”, even if the official timeframe for responding to that application falls beyond the next meeting. It is the responsibility of the MoM to arrange for coverage if they will be away and unable to perform MoM duties. GOVERNING TIMEFRAMES for Construction Permits, Demolition Permits, and other applications: Response to applications for construction permits – Due within 20 business days from referral to HPC. Failure to respond is interpreted as approval without comment. Response to applications for demolition permits – Due within 45 days from referral to HPC. Failure to respond is interpreted as approval to demolish. Request for hearing exemptions – Respond to applicant within 7 days of request/referral Response to applications for Planning Board and Board of Adjustment – Due 10 days prior to meeting where application is discussed (check with Karen Zaborsky or Cindy Phillips regarding BofA and PB agendas respectively).
