Prepare and maintain a survey of historic areas and locations within the Township. Make recommendations to the Planning Board and Township Committee for additions or modifications to historic districts and sites within the Township. Make recommendations to the Planning Board on the Historic Preservation Plan Element of the Master Plan, including proposed amendments and updates thereto, and comment on the historic preservation implications of other elements in the Master Plan and Township Ordinances. Advise and assist applicants the Planning Board and/or the Zoning Board of Adjustment on the historic significance of the site and ways of conserving, protecting, enhancing and perpetuating the historic and rural character . In connection with applications for development within a designated historic district or site, advise and assist applicants on the historic significance of the site and ways of conserving, protecting, enhancing and perpetuating the historic and rural character. Administer the demolition delay provisions in §105-128 of the Land Use and Development Ordinance of the Township. Carry out such other advisory, educational and informational functions as will promote historic preservation in the Township.
