The Finance Department is responsible for all the processes and procedures for the receipt, disbursement, and reporting of Township funds. The Treasurer and Financial Assistant handle the day-to-day financial matters that arise. The Chief Financial Officer oversees the township’s financial activities. We work closely with other departments to ensure the timely depositing of Township funds, as well as the payment for goods and services. Services Provided: 1. Deposit all Township receipts 2. Payment of goods and services (invoices) 3. Purchasing – prepare and process Purchase Orders 4. Process Escrow receipts and payments 5. Process Municipal Services Act payments 6. Prepare books of original entry 7. Assist other departments with financial matters 8. Process Payroll for Township employees 9. Maintain accurate financial records 10. Assist Bond Counsel with borrowing funds 11. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports/statements 12. Set up and maintain all township Bank Accounts 13. Assist in the annual Budgeting process 14. Assist the Township Auditors during the annual audit
