The Township Clerk and Township Registrar provide the services described below.
Township Clerk: Deputy Township Clerk: Christine Zimmermann The Township Clerk is the liaison between the public and the governing body. The Clerk is appointed by the Township Committee to a three year term of office. Responsibilities of the Clerk’s Office include receipt of all communications addressed to the Township Committee, attendance at Committee meetings, production of minutes of the Committee meetings, advertisement of Committee hearings, meetings, and actions, registration of new voters, receipt of nominating petitions and administration of primary, general, and school elections, processing of applications and permits pertaining to liquor licensing, raffles, bingos, and use of township owned facilities, and landlord registration.
A Deputy Clerk assists the Clerk and acts in her absence. The Deputy is appointed annually. Township Registrar: Deputy Township Registrar: Christine Zimmermann In Harding Township, the Clerk is also the Township Registrar and is appointed by the Board of Health to a concurrent three year term of office. The Registrar is responsible for all vital statistics in the municipality including marriage licensing, processing Domestic Partnerships, birth certificates, death certificates, and burial permits. A Deputy Registrar is appointed annually to assist the Registrar and act in her absence.
