The Township Registrar is appointed by the Board of Health to a concurrent three year term of office. The Registrar is responsible for all vital statistics in the municipality including marriage licensing, processing Domestic Partnerships, birth certificates, death certificates, and burial permits.
Harding Township realizes how important the application process in acquiring Vital Statistics, (Marriage Licenses, Certified Copies, etc.) is and in order to accommodate all applications, please contact Lisa Sharp at 973/267-8000, ext. 1968 for an Appointment. Appointments for Marriage Licenses and Certified Copies are made from 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday.
When applying for a Marriage or Civil Union License, two (2) forms of identification are required; such as: driver's license (photo), passport, state or federal identification or a driver's license (photo) with proof of residency--a utility bill or bank statement within the last 90 days, birth certificate.
