Board of Adjustment
Mission
The Board of Adjustment functions under the authority of the Municipal Land Use Law of New Jersey. It is authorized to: hear and decide appeals from decisions by an administrative officer; hear and decide interpretations of the Zoning Map or Zoning Ordinance; grant variances from the Zoning Ordinance; and grant subdivision and site plan approval in connection with use variance applications.
The regularly scheduled meetings of the Harding Township Board of Adjustment are the Third Thursday of each month, at 7:30pm at the Harding Township Municipal Building - Committee Chambers.
The Board of Adjustment consists of 7 regular members serving 4-year terms and 2 alternate members serving 2-year terms. The Mayor appoints all members, who are required to be Township residents and may not be Township elected officials or Township employees.
